Permitted and excluded states
Skill-based online play is permitted in selected Indian states. The published list is updated whenever the regulatory position changes. The current list:
- Andhra Pradesh
- Assam
- Bihar
- Chhattisgarh
- Delhi
- Goa
- Gujarat
- Haryana
- Himachal Pradesh
- Jharkhand
- Karnataka
- Kerala
- Madhya Pradesh
- Maharashtra
- Odisha
- Punjab
- Rajasthan
- Tamil Nadu
- Telangana
- Uttar Pradesh
- Uttarakhand
- West Bengal
States currently excluded
The following states currently restrict online skill-based play. The access route blocks wagers from these states at the entry point:
- Andhra Pradesh (specific to online skill games as published by the state regulator)
- Assam (specific to online skill games as published by the state regulator)
- Odisha (specific to online skill games as published by the state regulator)
- Sikkim
- Tamil Nadu (specific to online skill games as published by the state regulator)
- Telangana (specific to online skill games as published by the state regulator)
How the block works
The access route at /Login/playnow reads the request's location and the registered phone number's state code. If the location or the state code is in the excluded list, the access route returns a redirect rather than opening the lobby.
